The spring fabric collection is doing well, in fact, it is already in its second printing. All of you have responded with so much enthusiasm and joy in seeing it for the first time! Thank you so very much! I am already out of the bolts I purchased so I will not have it for sale on the website again until mid-August. If you wish to purchase it then it can still be pre-ordered. I have a sampling of all the fabrics: the border panel and the 6 additional fabrics in a fat quarter each for $20.00 All tied together in a pretty ribbon!!

I am off to Vermont this week for the Vermont Quilt festival. I love going there  — what a beautiful state. I wish I had more time to explore and hike but, alas, the Kutztown German Folk Festival begins the following week. A day after Kutztown's 10 day show I am off to Oregon for the Sister's Outdoor Quilt show. I truly hope to see some of you at these shows. They are all fantastic!! Please stop by and say "Hi" to me. I love lighthouses, sentinels of the sea!. While traveling the New England coast I came upon "Pemaquid Point Light, Maine." I just had to paint this peaceful scene with one of my favorite patterns, the "Mariners Compass." I especially enjoyed painting the jewel tones of the two featured quilts! 			“Tulip Baskets” I had fun creating this pattern. Spring is such a beautiful season. The cycle of life begins anew. It is hard to believe that the dogwood blossoms, tulip and the daffodil bulbs were covered in snow just a month ago. The bluebirds have found a home to nest. Back to the top

I love hummingbirds. Watching them flit among my fuchsias and feeders is pure entertainment. I designed a hummingbird fabric, that is not in print. I had so much fun with the designs that I decided to make a quilt with the patterns that I developed. It was fun to make my own special quilt with my paintbrush!

“Spring Awakening” depicts a beautiful spring day of sunshine and the awakening of tulips, crocuses and the first leaves on the trees. The mornings were skies of baby blues and the afternoons golden.			“Palm Tree Breezes” was painted during the very hot and humid summer. I had no air conditioning and my studio was very warm. I kept cool by imagining I was on a beach with a cool drink enjoying an ocean breeze. Hey, cheaper than air conditioning!

“Autumn Patchwork”   We had a very late fall this year, and trees were slow to show their vibrant color . . . but it was amazing when it happened. 22" x 30"			“Christmas on the Farm” (above) & “Winter Joy II” (below) were painted this lovely season. Christmas spirit surrounded me in my studio, so I did two quiltscapes this year for our special season of joy.
